JOSIE'S POEMS

MY ALIEN NEIGHBOURS

There’s a family of aliens moved into next door –

Oh don’t hurry off for I’ll tell you some more.

There’s Mama and Papa and the children as well.

Oh boy!!!  Hold your nose!  My word how they smell!!

Well they can’t smell anything – well I would suppose.

Have you seen an alien?  Well, where is its nose?

Well they don’t need to breathe, well that much is true,

But perhaps this is something you already knew.

When you looked at their faces, did you have a surprise?

Well I’m sure that you noticed the size of their eyes!

On our warm summer evenings, they gaze up at the stars,

But when winter winds blow, they just head back to Mars.
