Six golden pumpkins

    Sat in their beds.

Along came the farmer

    Who cut off their heads.

Next came the farmer’s wife

    Who removed their insides

And then cut a smiling grin

    And eyes that opened wide.

In each  golden pumpkin now

    A candle flickers bright.

I'm sure you have rightly guessed -

    It’s Halloween tonight!
